Ingredients of Zebra Chocolate Cake

  1. It's 1 cup of Maida flour.
  2. Prepare Half of cup sugar.
  3. You need of Butter paper.
  4. Prepare of Amul butter.
  5. Prepare of Chocolate or vanilla essence.
  6. You need of Cocoa powder / Coffee fine powder.
  7. It's 1/4 cup of Refined Oil.
  8. It's 1 cup of Milk.
  9. It's of Baking powder.

  11. Prepare of Vessel / Microwave Oven.
  12. You need 2 of bowls.
  13. Prepare of Wheat strainer.
  14. Prepare of Toothpick / Knife.

  1. First of all Apply butter to the baking pan and stick the butter paper on it as shown..
  2. Now keep One full cup of Maida flour and 1/4th cup of Sugar ready. Make sure the cup walls are straight as shown. Crush the sugar in fine poweder in the mixture. Add it in a bowl with 1/4 cup Refined oil. Mix it well with the grinder until it is light and fluffy..
  3. Now add 8-10 drops of Vanilla / Chocolate essence with it as shown. Mix it well. Please do not add too much essence as it could ruin the taste. Add 1/2 cup Milk into the mixture. Remember the milk should be at room temperature. Stir it well to be semi liquid. Pictures for reference..
  4. Now Keep the wheat strainer/ Chalni on the bowl and add 1 Cup of Maida flour on it. Add 1 Tea spoon of Baking powder and 1/2- 1 full tea spoon of baking soda.
  5. Now keep stirring the mixture well with the spoon or grinder. Keep adding milk bit by bit to make it thick liquid. Do not over mix as it will release gluton and your cake wont rise in the pan..
  6. Now divide the batter in two bowls equally as shown. Now add 3 tea spoon of cocoa powder in any one bowl and repeat the mixing..
  7. Mix well till the cocoa powder mixes well and gives us a look of chocolate syrup. Our two halfs are ready now as shown..
  8. Now witht the help of the spoon keep adding 1-1 spoon of the batter in the baking pan as shown. Trick for perfect circle - "Shake the pan slowly in circle" Make sure the batter is thick as it should not get mixed with other half in the pan. Follow the procedure as shown below..
  9. Once done take the toothpick and make a draw a line from "The edges to the centre". Repeat the lines over the cake top. Depend on your pan size you can make as many lines u like. Please be careful if its your 1st time, better to make 8-10 lines only. Once done, It turns out be a beautiful flower shaped top. Pics for reference..
  10. If you are doing in a Oven - Preheat it at 150°C. Once done with preheating, keep the cake on a lower stand and load in the oven for 18-20 minutes. If you are doing in a vessel or cooker, place a small hollow stand in the vessel and keep the pan on it without any water on medium flame for 40 minutes keeping the lid on.   11. Remove the pan and check if its baked and raised with the help of a knife or a toothpick by inserting it through any random 2-3 places..
  12. Once done and if u know the cake isn't sticking to the toothpick, remove the pan and let it cool for 10 min. Now turn the pan upside down and demould it. Your yummy perfect Chocolate Cake is ready to be served..
